Parklife Festival Volunteer Agreement
Please read below and at a later date we will ask you to sign a paper copy to confirm you agree and will comply with all conditions.
Conditions of Volunteering.....
1) You will be Volunteering on either Saturday 8th or Sunday 9th June 2024 and will be placed in a Wristbanding, Artist Liaison runner or Promo Team position. If Wristbanding you will be making sure genuine ticket holders gain access and are wristbanded securely.
2) You are required to arrive on site for registration on either Saturday 8th or Sunday 9th June 2024 one hour prior to your allocated shift.
3) You will be accountable to your Volunteer Managers.
4) You will Volunteer for a maximum of 8 hours on the date of your agreed shift, you are then free to enjoy the event.
5) Please ensure that you sign in at the start of your shift and sign out at the end.
6) All Wristbands and Festival Equipment remain the property of Parklife Manchester Ltd and must be surrendered upon request. Any attempt to pass on or sell to a third party will result in your immediate removal from the site and you will lose your initial deposit of £250.
7) You are required to report for your shift on time and, unless authorised in advance, must complete your entire allocated shift. You will lose your initial deposit should you fail to attend the shift without good reason.
8) If Wristbanding you will be responsible for each batch of public wristbands allocated to you and will return to the Parklife Managers an equivalent amount of genuine tickets. You must understand that any losses may be charged to you and under certain circumstances may be reported to the police.
9) Be aware you may be searched by a member of the security team of the same sex (with at least one member of the senior ticketing team present) at any time during working hours should the Exchange Manager or Ticketing Manager feel this is necessary.
10) Meals will not be provided by Parklife Festival.
11) You will be expected to report for duty at least 1 hour prior to the start of your allocated shift.
12) Personal property, including bags, food and coats, are not permitted at the work stations. A secure area will be allocated in the Volunteers Tent for personal belongings.
13) As a member of the Volunteer Team you represent the festival. Rudeness, abusive, antisocial, aggressive, or dangerous behaviour towards members of the public or other staff will not be tolerated and will result in eviction from site and I understand I will lose my initial deposit. Should you feel you have been the victim of any of the above, please inform your Volunteer Manager as soon as possible. You also have the right to work without fear or threat.
14) I understand that consumption of alcohol or use of drugs during a shift or arriving to start a shift under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not permitted.
15) Expenses incurred such as travel, food or accommodation will not be paid for by Parklife Manchester Ltd.
I understand and agree to the above conditions of Volunteering. I understand that failure to comply with these conditions and directives may result in termination of my Volunteer Position without notice, removal from site and the loss of my £250 deposit. Staff members removed from site will not be asked to work or Volunteer at any future events with Parklife or the Warehouse Project.
